Inexpensive home ultraviolet
treatment for hand rashes

There
has been a strong, in-the-office treatment for severe hand eczema,
rash, allergy or psoriasis for years called PUVA. What is not widely
known is that a unit can be purchased for home use (without the
pills used in PUVA treatment). This costs under $150.
These were not manufactured for hand rash
treatments, but I have been using them in my practice, without any
harmful effects I am aware of, for years. They are not meant to be
used by anyone who is on any medication that causes sun or light
sensitivity.
These can be purchased from my office. They
are not usually covered by medical insurance. |
